My name is Steve. I'm a recent Computer Science graduate building cool stuff!

Professional Info

Currently in IT for about 3 years now, been with a couple different companies in that time. Started out in help desk and software support, have since moved onto a desktop/field support role.

I earned an Associates in Cybersecurity in 2023, and recently finished my Bachelors in Computer Science Jan 2025. I love Cybersecurity and Computer Science. I'm not sure I can pick just one at this point! I'm aspiring to becoming a DevSecOps Engineer, but looking to fully embrace whatever challenges come my way. Currently building an RSS sharing app.

Hobbies

Outside of the IT and programming worlds, my hobbies are honestly kind of lacking! I enjoy mountain biking and disc golf, hopefully I'll have more time for both now that I've graduated.

I enjoy Capture The Flag (CTF) competitions. I've participated in about 10 now. The last one I competed in may lead to an amazing opportunity where I get to earn 4 SANS certifications!

I'm still learning DSA type materials even after two DSA courses in my Bachelors, and enjoy the challenges on leetcode.com even though I'm not very good (yet).

Family

I have an amazing supportive family, including two children, that make everything I do professionally possible.
